Getting your own authority means getting an MC number and making it active. When you apply, your MC number is assigned as Pending. It goes active only after your insurance filing and BOC-3 are on record and a ten-day public notice period has run. This is a course, not a filing service. It takes you from a USDOT number to active authority: who needs it, how to apply inside the registration you already know, getting those filings on record, your Unified Carrier Registration obligation, and how to confirm you are genuinely active before you haul. The course is organized into six modules of short lessons, followed by a final quiz.
